Trojans blast the Wildcats on Senior Night, clinch GNRC

The Trojan seniors, Alex Reed, Omari Harris, Ian Johnston, Wellington Guzman and Keion White enjoy their Senior Night thrashing of W.Johnston 101-50. A blistering 69% shooting as every player scores on the night GMHS celebrates Coach Gray’s 500th win. Garner had to wait due to the Wildcats cancelling their Jan. 26th game makeup game with the 3rd-ranked 4A squad in NC. Reed leads the balanced scoring attack with 14 and 9 rebounds, Demetric Horton & Harris 11 eachGuzman  has10. Garner (21-2) embarrasses WJ with a school record 65 first half points and finishes the game with 36-19 second half with a running clock most of the way. The Trojans own 28-11 rebound margin in their 55th straight conference win and Coach Eddie Gray’s 17th crown. Garner completes their regular season Thursday night at Rolesville for a GNRC quad.

JV Trojans make it 62 straight with their 53-22 win over WJohnston. JV Trojans improve to 21-0 with a Wednesday night game vs Knightdale at undisclosed location and time. Public apparently not invited.
