Hamling hustle sends Garner to CCSSL playoff win

Michael Hamling singles and scores on Jake Good’s sacrifice in 1-0 Garner CCSSL playoff win. Hamling races from 1st as Panther Creek errant throw allows Good to reach and Hamling hustles all the way home for the lone run of the game. The fast paced game features several outstanding defensive plays by both teams, who are hitless through 3 innings. Other major baseball events results in six Junior players pressed into service and they played great, including Hamling and Good on the game-winning play. Four Garner pitchers hold PC to just 5 hits in the shutout with starter Dillon Mull, Addison Norris, Zach Brittain pitching two innings each on a brutally hot day at Lee County High School. Aiden Edwards strikes out the side in the 7th to send Garner (12-3) to the semifinals vs Rolesville 2PM Friday for a shot at the 7PM Championship game berth.
