Coach Gray records historic win 500

Coach Eddie Gray records his 500th win in the Trojans 80-59 win at Clayton. Garner improves to 18-2 & 10-0 in the GNRC after posting their 53rd straight conference win. KD Burt leads the Trojans’ historic night with 22 points and 15 rebounds, including a huge 14 point/8 rebound first half. Demetric Horton pitches in 15, hitting four from the arc, as 13 Garner players tally buckets. Clayton Coach Denny Medlin, Garner Class of 1988 and former player for our Coach, presented him the game ball at the end of the game. Coach Gray, Garner Class of 1970 graduate, earns his 500th in his 27th year at the helm of the Trojans. His career includes the 2015 4A NCHSAA title, 16 conference championship and 29 collegiate and professional athletes. Well done Coach Gray!

JV Trojans win 60th consecutive
Coach Bloms JV Trojans blast the Comets 48-30 to extend their school record 60 straight wins. Todd Burt 11 points leads a balanced Trojan scoring attack, Donovan Brown 10 points with 11 Trojans scoring. Daiveon Dunn and Burt have 5 rebounds each with Jon-Anthony Johnson recording 8 assists for the 18-0 squad headed to Knightdale Friday night.

JV girls drop their GNRC road match at Clayton 37-29; The varsity squad falls 62-44. Garner was led by Sirenna Pitts with 17. All four teams return to action at Knightdale Friday night beginning with the JV girls at 4PM.
