Alumni achieve National success this weekend

A stellar weekend for several Trojan alumni this weekend:

  • Centennial Conference Champion Tyler Maher (’11) earned All-American at the NCAA DIII National Wresting Championships for #12-ranked Stevens Institute of Technology. Maher claimed 4 wins to earn the prestigious honor.
  • Khayani Chandler (’14) & #7 seed Francis Marion claim upsets over #2 Lander 62-61 &  #3 Columbus State 67-58 to advance to the NCAA DII Sweet 16. Update: The Patriots (23-8) down #8 Augusta 72-65 Monday night to advance. They will face Alaska-Anchorage March 22nd for a shot at the Final Four.
  • Kori Smith (’14) & defending National Champion #10-ranked NC A&T University bowling advance to the USBC Collegiate National Championships in Kansas. The Aggies (67-28) finish 4th in the Smyrna TN sectional for the berth in the national tourney. April 20th.
  • Justin Clark (’13) and the Point Mallard Ducks win the NA3HL South Division.The Ducks finish their regular season 35-9-3 headed to the playoffs vs Sugar Land Friday night 8:30PM eastern. Clark has 21 goals and 14 assists for the Ducks this season.
