Gray’s Trojans claim 50th straight GNRC win, demolish the Bulldogs

#2 ranked Garner blast SE Raleigh for the 11th straight time in their 50th consecutive GNRC win 84-50. The Trojans improve to 7-0 for the year in the conference and 14-2 overall for the #4 team in the NC 4A poll. Senior Alex Reed leads the Trojans balanced scoring with 15 KD Burt 14 points, capped with a long-distance 3 at the halftime buzzer-beater and leads all players with 10 rebound. with 12 Garner scoring. Demetric Horton and Mehki Townes 12 each. Coach Eddie Gray’s starters log an average of just 17 minutes each in the blowout that saw the good guys finish the 2nd quarter on 16-4 run and put the crosstown “rivals” away with 30-11 third quarter.
